《sonnet 62》當詩人凝望鏡中，此時集自負、自戀於一身的自我，瞬間還原成一個古物。此首詩欲表達詩人對衰老的自我覺察，而此份覺察，便是觸發自少年的美顏。此時，詩人的內心，從擺盪的情緒到承認了現實，更欲以讚頌少年，點亮自身的衰頹。

《sonnet 63》時間的公平待遇，也將在美少年的容貌上留下鑿痕。此首為莎士比亞十四行詩第一部份(前126首)的中場，意謂著少年衰老的到來，是不可避免的，面對時間的辣手摧殘，只能以詩歌，讓少年之美永保於記憶之中。
