《sonnet 98》四月應當是萬物蓬勃，萬神歡喜的時刻，但這一切，都因為少年的缺席，而不成立。詩人已經找不到讚頌的對像，即使詩人讚頌了萬物，都使詩人想到少年的美好。思念之深，若無少年的存在，詩人就如同終身在永冬。

《sonnet 99》美好的事物使人如沐花香，是否都是源自詩人心中的戀人？此詩透過描寫花香、花色，象徵詩人眼中的世界，因愛情而看見了美，但詩人此時無法辨認其他的美好，因少年是美的中心，自然界的美，都宛如抄襲自少年，連花都羞赧。
