《sonnet 90》此首詩透過詩人的自我對話，表露對愛情的痴狂。詩人道，離棄我之後，請別再回頭；別在我心受苦之際，增添苦痛，如同風雨交加之夜，隔日又是同樣的慘淡；當命運對我施以重擊，我不畏懼迎戰，但這些傷痕累累的痛苦，都比不上被你遺棄。

《sonnet 91》有些人出身高貴，有些人天生富有，有些人才華洋溢，有些人坐擁一切，但這些都非詩人所願，若不是擁有少年的愛，一切毫無意義，但若少年也不在，就會成為一個無人憐憫之人。
