《sonnet 104》對詩人來說，自相識那天起，少年在詩人眼裡永遠不老，永遠俊美。即使經過了三個年頭，即使大自然春去秋來，即使外在的世界變化急遽，但詩人對少年的真心永恆不變。

《sonnet 105》詩人的愛並非一場崇拜，他的愛專屬於他的摯愛。詩人的作品只願意專注在表達真、善、美這三個主題，更不斷將自己的才華奉獻於此。詩人感嘆，這三項美德其實很少集中表現在一個人身上，但少年卻擁有著這三項珍貴的特質。
